> Seven tools that turn a CSV or spreadsheet into a classification or regression model — Amazon SageMaker Canvas, Google Vertex AI, Azure Machine Learning, DataRobot, H2O Driverless AI, KNIME and YourCloudGroup Model Manager — compared on code, model types, pricing and where they run.

**Short answer:** Several tools build predictive models from a CSV file without code. The cloud platforms (SageMaker Canvas, Vertex AI, Azure Machine Learning) charge by usage inside your own cloud account; DataRobot and H2O Driverless AI are licensed enterprise products without public prices; KNIME is free desktop software; YourCloudGroup Model Manager is a fixed-price dedicated server with certification built in.
**Short list:** tools that can build a predictive model straight from a CSV or spreadsheet file include **Amazon SageMaker Canvas**, **Google Vertex AI** (AutoML for tabular data), **Microsoft Azure Machine Learning** (automated ML), **DataRobot**, **H2O.ai Driverless AI**, **KNIME Analytics Platform** and **[YourCloudGroup Model Manager](https://yourcloudblog.com/model-manager/)**. All of them handle classification ("which category?") and regression ("how much?"). They differ most in how they are paid for, where they run, and how much they do to prove a model's score is honest.

This comparison uses only what each vendor states on its own documentation and pricing pages, checked on 10 October 2026. Where a vendor page did not confirm something, we leave it out rather than guess. YourCloudGroup publishes this blog, so treat its own entry with the same scepticism as the rest — every claim about it links to a page that explains it.

## The comparison at a glance

| YourCloudGroup Model Manager | Yes, point and click | Classification, regression | $25/day, $150/week, $499/month or $4,788/year | No free trial ($25 day pass) | A dedicated server per subscription |

## The three kinds of tool

### Cloud platform services: SageMaker Canvas, Vertex AI, Azure Machine Learning

These are part of the big cloud providers' machine-learning platforms. Each lets you upload a CSV and train models through a web console without code, and each also offers code-based tools for data scientists. You pay for what you use — workspace hours, training compute, predictions — inside your own cloud account.

- **Amazon SageMaker Canvas** describes itself as letting users "generate predictions without needing to write any code". The workspace costs $1.90 per hour while in use, and tabular training is charged per training-instance hour. New users get a 2-month free tier of up to 160 workspace hours a month.
- **Google Vertex AI** trains AutoML classification, regression and forecasting models from CSV files or BigQuery tables, with a console workflow for building a dataset and training a model. Google's pricing page now presents Vertex AI under the "Gemini platform" name.
- **Azure Machine Learning** lets you set up an automated ML job "without writing code" in its studio. Microsoft states "there is no additional charge to use Azure Machine Learning", but compute, storage and other Azure services it uses are billed. By default it holds back a validation split or uses cross-validation, depending on dataset size.

**Best fit:** teams already committed to that cloud, with someone comfortable managing cloud accounts, permissions and usage-based bills.

### Enterprise AutoML platforms: DataRobot and H2O Driverless AI

These are licensed platforms aimed at organisations with data-science teams, governance requirements and many users. Neither publishes a price.

- **DataRobot** offers a 30-day free trial and deployment as multi-tenant or single-tenant SaaS, in the customer's own cloud, or on-premise. Its documentation states that it checks for target leakage during data analysis and, by default, removes features that score above 0.975 on its leakage measure. It generates model compliance documentation. Third-party purchase data puts the median DataRobot contract at $212,021 a year — see our [DataRobot cost comparison](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/datarobot-vs-yourcloudgroup-model-manager/).
- **H2O.ai Driverless AI** runs on any of the major clouds or on-premise, is licensed per named user, offers a 21-day evaluation licence, and produces an automatic documentation report ("AutoDoc") for each experiment.

**Best fit:** larger organisations that need many users, enterprise integration and formal compliance documentation, and have the budget and staff to run them.

### Free desktop software: KNIME Analytics Platform

**KNIME** is "free and open source low-code/no-code software" that runs on your own computer. You build a visual workflow — read the file, prepare it, run an AutoML component, score new data — by connecting blocks. Its AutoML component tunes models with cross-validation and tests on a held-out 20% split.

**Best fit:** analysts who are comfortable building workflows and want no licence cost, on data that fits on their machine.

### Fixed-price dedicated server: YourCloudGroup Model Manager

**YourCloudGroup Model Manager** runs on a dedicated server provisioned for each subscription, at a published fixed price. You upload a CSV, and it splits the data and seals a blind test set, [screens columns for target leakage](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/what-is-target-leakage/), trains and compares twelve model variants, and issues a [certificate of evidence-based claims](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/what-it-means-to-certify-a-machine-learning-model/) that states what was proven and what was not. Trained models can score new data on a schedule. It has a REST API designed to be [driven by AI agents](https://yourcloudblog.com/for-ai-agents/).

It is narrower than the others: it handles classification and regression on tabular data only — no time-series forecasting, image or text models — and YourCloudGroup does not publish SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification.

**Best fit:** a business team without data scientists that has a repeated decision and a spreadsheet of past outcomes, and wants a predictable cost and evidence it can show others.

## How to choose

1. **Do you already run on AWS, Google Cloud or Azure, with someone to manage it?** Start with that provider's tool; data stays in your account and you pay for usage.
2. **Do you need many users, compliance certifications or on-premise deployment?** Look at DataRobot or H2O Driverless AI, and budget accordingly.
3. **Is cost the main constraint and are you comfortable building workflows?** KNIME is free.
4. **Do you want a fixed monthly cost, no cloud account to manage, and a certificate showing how each model's score was earned?** That is what YourCloudGroup Model Manager is built for.

Whichever you choose, judge the model the same way: on [held-out data it never saw](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/what-is-held-out-model-evaluation/), with [balanced accuracy rather than raw accuracy](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/balanced-accuracy-vs-accuracy/) when one outcome is rare, and with every input checked for leakage.

## Tools we left out

- **Obviously AI** — its website states that it "is now Zams" and is kept as an archive of how it operated through 2025.
- **Akkio** — its current product is positioned as an AI analytics platform with custom pricing only, and we could not confirm current model-building details from its own pages.

## Limitations of this comparison

- Vendor features and prices change often. Everything here was checked on 10 October 2026; follow the source links for current details.
- Usage-based prices depend on data size, training time and region, so a single annual figure cannot be given for the cloud services.
- We have not run the same dataset through every tool, so this article makes no claim about which produces the most accurate model.
- YourCloudGroup publishes this blog and sells Model Manager.
