> A sourced comparison of DataRobot and YourCloudGroup Model Manager for predictive models on business data: annual cost, the steps from first look to a production model, security approach, and where each one fits.

**Short answer:** YourCloudGroup Model Manager's annual plan costs $4,788 — about 2% of the $212,021 median DataRobot contract reported by Vendr. Both let you try models quickly; the difference in time to production is the buying path: a public price and self-serve checkout against a sales-led contract. DataRobot is the broader enterprise platform, with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certification.
For a team that wants predictive models from its own spreadsheet data, [YourCloudGroup Model Manager](https://yourcloudblog.com/model-manager/) costs **$4,788 a year** on its annual plan. That is **about 2%** of the **$212,021** median annual DataRobot contract reported by the purchasing platform Vendr, and about a fifth of the lowest DataRobot contract in Vendr's data ($24,000). Both products let you try models quickly. The real difference in time to production is how you buy: YourCloudGroup has a public price and self-serve checkout that provisions a dedicated server, while DataRobot production use is sold through quotes and private offers.

The two products are not the same size. DataRobot is a broad enterprise AI platform covering predictive models, generative AI and agents, with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification and self-managed deployment options. YourCloudGroup Model Manager does one job — classification and regression models from a customer's structured data — on a dedicated server per subscription. This article compares what can be sourced and says where each one fits.

## Annual cost

| | YourCloudGroup Model Manager | DataRobot |
|---|---|---|
| Published price | Yes — $25/day, $150/week, $499/month, or **$4,788/year** (annual plan, $399/month billed annually) | No public price list; pricing by quote or private offer |
| Typical annual spend | $4,788 for one dedicated server | **$212,021** median contract (Vendr, February 2026) |
| Reported range | Fixed list price | $24,000 to $230,400 per year (Vendr) |
| What the price covers | One dedicated server running the full platform: model tournament, certification, scheduled predictions, daily backups | Depends on contract: users, deployment type, compute and modules |

![Bar chart of annual cost as a share of DataRobot's median contract: DataRobot median $212,021 (100%), DataRobot lowest reported contract $24,000 (11%), YourCloudGroup annual plan $4,788 (2.3%)](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/datarobot-vs-yourcloudgroup-model-manager/annual-cost.svg)

*Annual cost. DataRobot figures are Vendr's reported purchase data; YourCloudGroup's is its public list price.*

**What the comparison means:** at the median, a year of DataRobot costs about as much as 44 years of the YourCloudGroup annual plan. Even DataRobot's lowest contract in Vendr's data costs five times as much.

**What it does not mean:** the prices do not buy the same thing. A DataRobot contract can cover many users, generative-AI and agent tooling, enterprise governance and private-cloud or on-premise deployment. A YourCloudGroup subscription is one dedicated server for structured-data prediction. Vendr's figures come from the purchases it has seen and are not DataRobot's price list.

## Time to production, step by step

"Time to market" for a predictive model has two parts: how quickly you can try it, and how quickly you can put it into production use. The table compares the steps using each vendor's published process.

| Step | YourCloudGroup Model Manager | DataRobot |
|---|---|---|
| Find the price | Listed on yourcloudgroup.com | Contact sales, or request a private offer on AWS Marketplace |
| Try it | Buy a single day for $25 (no free trial) | Free 30-day self-service trial, no sales contact needed |
| Buy for production | Self-serve card checkout, from a day to a year | Contract via an account manager; AWS Marketplace contracts run 12, 24 or 36 months |
| Get an environment | A dedicated server is provisioned automatically for the subscription | Public SaaS for self-service; single-tenant, customer-VPC and self-managed options through sales |
| Train and compare models | 12-variant model tournament; about 4–5 minutes per run on 60,698 training rows in a measured case study | Automated model leaderboard (not measured by us) |
| Check the result can be trusted | Certificate of independent claims built into every experiment | Governance and compliance documentation features |

**Where YourCloudGroup is faster:** the path from "we want this in production" to a running, paid production environment involves no sales cycle, no contract negotiation and no minimum term. A team can start on a day or week plan and move to the annual plan when it is proving its value.

**Where it is not:** trying the product. DataRobot's free 30-day trial lets a team build models at no cost and without speaking to anyone; YourCloudGroup's cheapest trial is a $25 day. We have not timed a build on DataRobot, so we make no claim about whose model training is faster.

## Security approach

Both vendors take security seriously, in different ways.

- **YourCloudGroup** gives every subscription its own dedicated server on Amazon Web Services, so one customer's data is not stored alongside another's. Traffic is encrypted with TLS, backups are encrypted, and credentials are unique to each customer. When a subscription ends, the server is terminated after a final backup, and backups are then removed on a rolling basis.
- **DataRobot** holds **ISO 27001 certification** and undergoes an annual **SOC 2 Type II** assessment, according to its Trust Center. It offers single-tenant SaaS with dedicated VPC access and a self-managed option for organisations that must keep data in-house.

YourCloudGroup does not currently publish SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certification. If your procurement process requires those reports, DataRobot can supply them today. If your requirement is that your data is not mixed with other customers' data, both can meet it — YourCloudGroup by default, DataRobot through its single-tenant and self-managed options.

## Which one fits

**YourCloudGroup Model Manager fits** a business team or small company that has historical data in a spreadsheet, a decision to prioritise — which customers to keep, which leads to call, which machines to inspect — and no data-science department or six-figure budget. Its model selection and [certification](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/what-it-means-to-certify-a-machine-learning-model/) are automatic, including [target leakage screening](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/what-is-target-leakage/), and the [business spreadsheet trials](https://yourcloudblog.com/blog/predictions-from-business-spreadsheets/) show what that looks like in dollars.

**DataRobot fits** an enterprise that needs many users, connections to data warehouses, generative-AI and agent tooling alongside predictive models, formal compliance certifications, or deployment inside its own cloud account or data centre.

## Limitations of this comparison

- DataRobot does not publish prices. The cost figures are third-party purchase data from Vendr, last updated February 2026, and individual contracts vary.
- The products differ in scope, so cost per year is not cost per equivalent capability.
- The YourCloudGroup training time comes from one measured case study; DataRobot training time was not measured.
- Vendor features and prices change. Everything here was checked on 8 October 2026.
